gchat + AIM = a very happy Shilton

So I'm in Alice Springs, AU on a 3 hour lay-over, what better way to spend my time (and FREE public wi-fi) than to catch up on a little tech news!! I took a glimpse of my favorite little cheat-sheet, google tech news and came to an article about how google is bringing AIM to their chat interface. WA-WA-WE-WA! I immediately clicked on my gmail tab and discovered that it's true! You can sign into AIM through the gmail chat! I love the gchat feature, it's discrete in that it can sit in the gmail window or pop out for a more intense chat session. How fantastic that gmail has brought the chat interface I love to the chat service that I'd rather use!! I hope that google hasn't had to venture too far into the dark side to have to work with the likes of AOL/Timewarner but I'm sure they're doing just fine. Anyway.. a quick post to say here's to you google, one more step to making my life a little less complicated.

Holy Canoli...Since you and FSJ are the only RSS feeds I get, and you haven't written in a while (I understand, lol) i got your RSS feed, and thought FSJ had mentioned THE SHILTON! Hahah. Now that I think about it, that was a pretty stupid assumption, but my brain has turned off just a tiny bit cause no school...and being around toddlers all day haha. Too bad though...I thought he had seen your blog! hahah...

In other news, thats great, except Google has dont this, which is not so cool...http://informationweek.com/blog/main/archives/2007/12/google_ruins_it.html

At first I laughed, cause the competitive Lindsay doesnt mind seeing Apple get set back, but being a fan of Google's making life easier for ppl, this was pretty harsh of them...

Anyway, hope all is well!! Miss you girl!
